Privacy Policy
Updated October 22, 2026
This policy explains how the Ambris iPhone app handles information. It sits alongside the Terms of Use. If the two pages differ on a privacy question, this policy is the one that applies.
Contact for this policy: ambris@gmail.com.
1. Ambris does not run an account service
Ambris has no sign-in and no Ambris server. It does not collect, upload, sell, or share a profile of you for advertising. The app does not include an analytics or advertising toolkit. The posts you create are not sent to anyone else.
2. What is stored on this iPhone
When you use the app, these items are saved in the app's storage on the device:
- The profile you create after accepting the terms: nickname, avatar color or a photo you choose, experience level, and whether you use AB resin, UV resin, or both.
- Posts, comments, photos, and videos you add, plus drafts.
- Craft cards, version history, and recreate records.
- Troubleshooting sessions and their answers.
- Wear logs, check-in photos or videos, and the notes on those check-ins.
- Reports you file, members you block, and in-app messages such as wear reminders.
- Settings on this device: whether wear reminders are on, the reminder time, Fahrenheit or Celsius, and the time you accepted the Terms of Use.
Sample members and sample posts are part of the app bundle. They are not information collected from you.
3. Camera, microphone, photos, and notifications
Ambris asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Camera, when you take a photo or video of a piece or of how it is worn.
- Microphone, when you record sound in a video.
- Photo library, through the system picker, so the app receives only the items you choose. Ambris asks to add to your photo library only when you save a before-and-after comparison image.
- Notifications, when you turn on reminders to re-shoot a wear log on day 30, 90, or 180. Those reminders are scheduled on the device.
If you decline a permission, that action is unavailable and the rest of the app still opens. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
4. Person check on a wear photo
When you add a wear photo or video, Ambris can check on the device whether a face, a body, or a hand is visible. That check uses Apple's on-device vision tools. The image is not uploaded to do it.
5. How long it stays
Content stays on the device until you delete it, use Settings > Reset All Data, or delete Ambris. Reset All Data erases the app's stored profile, posts, media, logs, and settings on that installation. Deleting the app removes that installation's stored data. A later install starts again from the sample content.
An in-app follow-up can appear for a troubleshooting session that is still open after three days. That message is stored on the device. It is not an email and it is not sent to a server.
6. Reports and blocks
A report or a block is stored only on this iPhone and changes what you see in the app. Ambris does not transmit it to us, because the app has no server.
7. Who else can receive something
- Apple, when you download or update Ambris from the App Store. Apple's terms and privacy policy cover that.
- Your photo library, if you choose to save a comparison image.
- iOS, if you allow notifications. The reminder is delivered by the system from the schedule stored on the device.
Ambris does not offer an account you can use to sync this content to another phone.
8. Children
Ambris is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a server, because the app does not collect personal information on a server at all.
9. This website
These pages describe Ambris, this policy, and the Terms of Use. They do not ask you to create an account or submit a form. Opening a mailto link uses your own mail app.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change in a later version of the app or of this page. Questions: ambris@gmail.com.
