Terms of Use
End user license agreement · Updated October 22, 2026
These Terms of Use are the end user license agreement (EULA) for the Ambris iPhone app. You must accept them in the app before you can use Ambris. If you do not agree, do not tap I Agree and do not use the app.
This EULA sits alongside the Privacy Policy. Questions: ambris@gmail.com.
1. The license
Ambris is licensed, not sold. If you accept these terms, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services terms. You may not copy the app except as needed to use it, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or rent, sell, or sublicense it.
2. What the app is
Ambris is a local tool for resin jewelry making. On this iPhone you can:
- Write posts, including a piece with a craft card, a request for help, and a wear log.
- Save a craft card (materials, ratios, color, mold, cure, and outcome), keep versions of a piece, and recreate a card.
- Walk through troubleshooting questions for a failed pour and keep that session on the device.
- Keep a wear log with check-ins, including the day 0, 30, 90, and 180 marks, and compare two photos from that log.
- Save drafts, comment, search, follow a sample member inside the app, and switch temperature display between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Ambris does not include a server, an account you sign into, or a way for other people to see what you post.
3. Sample community
The members, posts, craft cards, comments, and wear logs that are already in the app are sample content shipped with Ambris. They are not live accounts and they are not other people using your phone. Your own posts stay on this device.
4. Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in the text, photos, and videos you add. You are responsible for that content and for having the right to use it. Only add photos, designs, and recipes you made or are allowed to share.
Because Ambris stores that content only on the device, deleting the app, or using Settings > Reset All Data, removes it from that installation.
5. What not to post
Do not add content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or violent. Do not impersonate someone else, post spam, or add material that infringes someone else's intellectual property. There is no tolerance in these terms for objectionable content or abusive use.
6. Reporting and blocking
You can report a post, a comment, or a member from its menu, and you can block a member. A report hides that post or comment on this device and stores the report on this device. Blocking hides that member's posts and comments from your view on this device. Ambris does not send reports or blocks to a moderation service, because it has no server.
7. Recipes, troubleshooting, and wear records
Craft cards, troubleshooting results, comments, and wear rankings are records and suggestions stored in the app, including the sample set. They are not professional, medical, or safety advice. Results change with resin, tools, temperature, humidity, and how a piece is worn. Rankings only reflect the records on this device.
8. Chemical safety
Resin and hardener are chemicals. You use them at your own risk. Read the in-app Resin Safety Guide and the instructions from the resin's maker before you mix or cure anything.
9. Provided as is
Ambris is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data on the device, for a pour that fails, or for any other damage from using or being unable to use the app.
10. Changes
We may update these terms in a later version of the app. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. If you do not agree to the updated terms, stop using Ambris.
